QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
JSC MSZ has established and implemented the QMS that is consistently maintained and continually improved in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 international standard requirements. The QMS has been functioning at JSC MSZ since 1996. Currently our company has certificate No. TIC 15 100 9587 issued by TÜV Thüringen e.V. certifying body stating that the QMS complies with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Validity of the certificate is annually verified during surveillance audits by TÜV Thüringen e.V. The audits did not find any nonconformity that could influence the positive evaluation of the QMS performance.
JSC MSZ’s QMS is applied to:
- designing, manufacture and supplying of FAs, materials and semi-finished products for them, core components and Control and Protection System (CPS) elements for power reactors;
- designing of tubes/pipes of stainless steel, alloys and titanium.
JSC MSZ has established the Quality Policy that stipulates the key strategic objectives and ways to achieve them.
The key strategic quality objectives of JSC MSZ are as follows:
· to continually improve product quality and operating safety;
· to meet customer needs and expectations;
· to get steady profits required to continually improve JSC MSZ operations and satisfy all interested parties.
JSC MSZ management takes accountability for communicating to its shops and departments how important it is to meet customer requirements, statutory and mandatory requirements as well as for raising their awareness that ensuring nuclear and radiation safety is the overriding priority.
JSC MSZ’s quality policy
JSC MSZ is a subsidiary of JSC TVEL and the largest enterprise in the country that manufactures nuclear fuel for power and research nuclear reactors. JSC MSZ performs complete nuclear fuel manufacturing cycle, starting from UF6 processing and UO2 powder fabrication and finishing with FA production. JSC MSZ also manufactures nuclear reactor core components and designs tubes/pipes of stainless steel, alloys and titanium. JSC MSZ recognises that quality of manufactured fuel has influence on safety and operational efficiency of the facilities that use these products.
Key strategic quality objectives of JSC MSZ:
Continual improvement of product quality and operating safety, meeting of customer needs and expectations, getting steady profits required to continually improve JSC MSZ’s operations and satisfy all interested parties.
JSC MSZ quality operations are based on the following principles:
* to ensure compliance of products and the applicable manufacturing processes to the Russian statutory, regulatory, technical requirements and other documents’ requirements, taking into account the customer requirements;
* to meet customer requirements and to aim at exceeding customer expectations in terms of product safety and quality;
* to apply the processes, procedures, measuring instruments and inspection methods ensuring and maintaining quality of competitive products for the currently existing, implemented and prospective production operations;
* to continually improve production based on quality monitoring and analysis;
* to prioritise the actions directed at ensuring nuclear, radiation and industrial safety;
* to ensure necessary and sufficient openness and availability of the information on quality, result-oriented interactions with customers based on the balance of interests.
Main directions of JSC MSZ’s quality policy:
· to ensure the QMS compliance with ISO 9001 and GS-R-3 (IAEA) requirements, continual improvement of the QMS effectiveness as well as effective operation and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System under JSC TVEL control;
· to master the manufacture of new products and to improve quality of the manufactured products by developing and implementing the product designs, processes, equipment, procedures and measuring instruments, materials and product components for product manufacture that would ensure meeting of customer needs and expectations;
· to reduce production costs, among other things by optimising product manufacturing process and increasing efficiency of product quality inspection;
· to continually improve JSC MSZ operations directed at continual improvement of product quality, rendered services, performed operations with the overriding priority to ensure industrial safety;
· to improve the information analysis systems to collect, register, monitor, review, exchange, report and retain quality data during product manufacture and operation;
· to improve regulatory documentation by developing and amending company standards for implementation of modern methods and tools of the QMS;
· to allocate resources, including persons, finances, technologies, equipment and working hours required to ensure quality of manufactured products;
· to ensure the required skill level of employees and to create the conditions for its continual improvement, including quality matters;
· to ensure nuclear, radiation and industrial safety.
