Social Programs
The company’s social policy is in line with the Uniform Industry-based Social Policy of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation developed in compliance with Federal Law 317-FZ article 7 item 15 (dated 01.12.2007) “On Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Related to the Uniform Policy on Establishing Social Protection for Rosatom Employees and Employees in Rosatom Organisations and Ensuring Its Implementation”.
Social Policy Implementation
The social policy is implemented in accordance with Rosatom Social Policy as well as subject to the JSC MSZ’s Collective Agreement. The social policy is directed at employing the highly qualified specialists and keeping them in employment, perfecting the employer’s image, raising employees’ involvement and increasing efficiency of social expenditures. The policy specifies provision of social benefits to the employees and the retirees of the organisation in excess to the quota established by legislation of the Russian Federation. The social policy is realised through the following corporate social programmes:
1. Optional medical insurance and work-related accident and illness insurance.
According to the Industry-based Standard JSC MSZ implements insurance plans which offer medical treatment in addition to the ones specified in the state guarantees of the compulsory medical insurance and budget outlays for the nuclear industry employees in medical facilities of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of the Russian Federation:
- Optional medical insurance provides the employees with accessible quality medical care;
- Optional work-related accident and illness insurance – risk of radiation exposure, temporary or permanent occupational disability, death. 100% of JSC MSZ employees are insured by both these insurance plans. Starting from 01.01.2017 in the result of tender procedures the contracts for these two optional types of insurances were concluded with JSC Stock Insurance Company SOGAZ.
2. Health resort treatment of the employees and their children, child recreation.
Annually JSC MSZ allocates subsidised vouchers for health resort treatment and recreation for the employees and their children to maintain and promote their health in line with the terms of the uniform corporate programme for vacation voucher provision. OOO Soyuzkurort (a Limited Liability Company) renders the services of obtaining the vacation vouchers for health resort treatment of the employees and their children.
3. Assistance in housing improvements for the employees.
Housing improvements for the employees is one of the directions of the uniform social policy of Rosatom and its organisations.
JSC MSZ implements the programme for assisting its employees in purchasing permanent housing. This programme is realised as partial reimbursement of costs for refunding of the interest on credit for housing improvement. JSC MSZ also implements the programme that specifies reimbursement of the employee’s rental lodging costs, either full or partial.
4. Assistance to the employees in certain life circumstances.
JSC MSZ renders assistance to the employees in accordance with the Regulation on Assisting the Employees in Certain Life Circumstances, with the objective to improve their social security. As per this Regulation the employees are given financial assistance in various life circumstances, and also the employees are given additional paid holidays for resolving the occurred family emergencies.
5. Assistance to the retirees.
JSC MSZ renders social assistance to its retired employees who no longer work at the company but essentially contributed to the industry development, based on the applicable Regulation on Giving Social Assistance to JSC MSZ Retirees. The social assistance to the retirees is rendered as follows:
- financial assistance,
-health resort treatment of recreational treatment,
-expressing gratitude to the retirees through congratulations on different notable occasions and inviting them to take part in corporate events,
-monthly pension supplements.
6. Sports and cultural events.
At ANO Cultural and Sports Complex “Kristall” (Autonomous Non-Commercial Organisation) facilities the company holds sports and mass cultural events aimed at maintaining and promoting healthy lifestyle among its employees, their children as well as the retired employees, enhancing their cultural and educational level as well as boosting corporate morale. The employees, their children and the retired employees take part in sports competitions, various sports tournaments, Sports Family Olympics, evening parties as well as ceremonies and festivities. The JSC MSZ employees actively participate in the city events and the events arranged by JSC TVEL and Rosatom.
7. Occupational pension scheme.
One of the major areas of the employee’s social security is the occupational (not provided by the state) pension provision scheme. JSC MSZ applies the Regulation on the Occupational Pension Provision Scheme for JSC MSZ Employees. It specifies that the employee and JSC MSZ shall take part in accumulating his/her pension savings on a parity basis. Starting from 1995 JSC MSZ has been supporting its retirees by paying them the occupational (not funded by the state) pension through the non-governmental pension fund.
8. Youth programme.
JSC MSZ implements the youth programme directed at motivating the young specialists to stay employed at the company. JSC MSZ promotes mentoring as the effective form to ensure professional making of the young employees to facilitate their adaptation at the very start of their working career. There are regular competitions where these specialists can win the title the “Best Young Employee of JSC MSZ”. The company supports active involvement of the young employees in production operations as well as in social life, promotes their efforts to upgrade their skills, and creates the conditions for their leisure activities and realisation of their creative talents. The young specialists take part in forums, conferences, festivals, tournaments, competitions, etc.
